• Title 42, United States Code, Section 213(e): This law specifically gives USPHS officers entitlement to all rights, privileges, immunities, and benefits provided under the Soldiers' and Sailors' Civil Relief Act of 1940 (50 U.S.C. App. 501 et seq.). For example, 50 U.S.C. App. 574 specifies the tax status of an uniformed service member on active duty in a State other than his/her domicile.

• Office of the Surgeon General: The Surgeon General of the United States, also the leader of the USPHS Commissioned Corps, is the nation's leading spokesman on matters of public health. This web site provides background and history on the office itself, and a link to Surgeon General reports over the past three decades.
• Commissioned Corps Management Information System (CCMIS) : This is the official web site where personnel, payroll, and health care issues for the applicants, officers, and retirees of the Commissioned Corps of the USPHS and the Operating Divisions of the Department of Health and Human Services and other Federal/State Programs where Corps officers are assigned. This is where Official Personnel Folders (OPF) are located at this CCMIS Secure Login.
